Robert "Bob" L. Gouldsmith
Robert "Bob" L. Gouldsmith, age 77, of Erie, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born in Erie on July 5, 1933, the son of the late, Clarence and Edna Donnell Goldsmith.
He served in the US Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of the Wesleyville American Legion. He was employed at AO Smith, Zurns, and Tri Tech in the tool and dye trade. He enjoyed wood crafting with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Carol May Gouldsmith of Erie, one step daughter, Suzanne Olson of Erie, one sister, Mary Ann Hrinda of Erie, one brother, Ted Goldsmith of Erie, several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at Erie County Memorial Gardens in the mausoleum on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
