Madeline “Maddie” A. Rastatter Saur Pesta Madeline “Maddie” A. Saur Pesta, age 86, of Erie, passed away at UPMC-Hamot after a brief illness on Monday, December 11, 2023. She was born in Erie on January 15, 1937, the daughter of the late Leroy J. and Esther Allen Rastatter. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband David Saur, one son Stephen Saur, and one brother Joseph Rastatter (Mae), and one sister Rosemary Southard. She is survived by one daughter Jane Saur Kalinowski (Tom), two sons; Scott Saur and James Saur (Jackie), one sister Joyce Dahlkemper (Jerry), one brother David Rastatter (Carol), six grandchildren: Jennifer Kalinowski Euliano (Mark), Jason Kalinowski (Ashley), Rachel Kalinowski Hoffman (Mike), Sammie Saur, Nikki Saur, and Lexi Saur, five great-grandchildren: Logan, Aubree, Ethan, Makenna, Teagan, and one on the way. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 4 pm until 8 pm and are invited there on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 9:15 am for prayers followed by a Committal service at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
