Obituary of Kevin Robert Sornberger

Kevin Robert Sornberger 11/15/1968 – 12/19/2023 Kevin R. Sornberger, 55, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. He was born in Erie, PA on November 15, 1968 to the late Robert B. Sornberger and the late Barbara J. Riblet. Survivors include his two children; Kevin W. Sornberger of Buffalo and Allison Sornberger of Erie; one sister Shawn Hollenbeck of Pittsburgh; two brothers; Robert Sornberger and Jason Sornberger of Erie; his beloved grandchildren; Jayden Clutter and Jaxon Mccammon of Erie; Father of his grandchild Jaxon, Kody Mccammon of Erie; nephews; Aiden and Carter of Erie, Jhaden of Pittsburgh; and nieces; Jhasmyne and Abigail of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Scott and Tim Sornberger. Kevin, aka “BIG KEVIN”, graduated Academy High school and enlisted in the United States Army. He was a paratrooper trained at Ft. Benning and served overseas for a year in Germany. Kevin was a loving and caring grandfather to his grandson Jaxon. He had a soft spot in his heart for Pitbulls and Huskies. He also enjoyed preparing food. He didn’t mind lending a hand to help others in a time of need. Kevin enjoyed fishing regularly with friends and family and never missed a Philadelphia Eagles game. He will be missed by many. Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd, Erie. A celebration of life will follow with the spreading of his ashes and the time is still to be determined.
