Obituary of June Eileen Watson Zwald

June Eileen Watson Zwald June Eileen Zwald, age 87, of McKean Twp., passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.She was born in Meadville, PA on March 5, 1936, the daughter of the late Burdell and Alvira Davis Watson. June was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, the Christian Workers Class, The Maranatha Ladies Missionary group, and a choir member. She was a graduate of Cambridge Springs H.S. and worked as a cashier at Cambridge Springs ABC Store, she was also employed at Plastek in Erie for two years, worked as a nanny for fourteen years, taught Sunday School for thirty- five years, and enjoyed entertaining her grandchildren. June also volunteered at the Erie City Mission Ladies Group and was currently a member of Millcreek Community Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Darleen Howe, one brother Harold Watson, and one great-granddaughter Myla Hubbard. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years Duane M. Zwald (married on April 2, 1955), three daughters; Denvalee Corff (Daniel) of ME, Tina Marie Palizay (Richard) of NY, Cynthia Ann Fox (Dave) of IL, eight grandchildren: Julie, Michelle (Joshua Zeiger), Megan, Lauri, Andrew (Kelly), Leah (Joshua Hubbard), Emily, Adam (Elisa), great-grandchildren: Jude, Grant, Victoria, Sophia, Alaina, Brielle, Otto, Wilson, Cyrus, Sullivan, and Owen. Private arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.,4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, PA 16506. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie City Mission, 1017 French Street, Erie, PA 16512 or to Millcreek Community Church, 4444 Sterrettania RD., Erie, PA 16506.
