Obituary of Joan H. Woodall Middleton

Joan Woodall Middleton Joan Woodall Middleton, age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Sarah Reed Senior Living. She was born in Erie on July 24, 1929, the daughter of the late James and Adella Metzger Woodall. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Middleton, two sisters; Ruth Hirt, Jackie Reynolds, and her son-in-law Tom Mehler. Joan was a graduate of Millcreek H.S. and retired from Northwest Bank. She is survived by three children: Amy Powell (Brent) of Port Angeles, WA, Becky Mehler of Millcreek Twp., and Jim Middleton (Kris) of Lexington, NC. She was proud of her six grandchildren: Ann Dunlavey (Kevin) of Fairview Twp., Carly Mehler (Shawn) of Fairview, Curtis Middleton (Jenna), Hayley Powell, Randy Powell, Logan Powell (Elaine), Lauren Kleinberg (Chuck), five great-grandchildren: Hanna, Ben, Cora, Carter, and Micah, and her dear nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Sarah Reed Senior Living for the wonderful care that they provided for mom. Family and friends are invited to the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd, Erie, PA 16506 on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 3 pm until 5 pm. The family plans a private burial at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Lake Fire Dept., 3762 West Lake Rd., Erie, PA 16505.
