Obituary of Guy Warner Law

Guy Warner Law Guy Warner Law, age 39, of Erie, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his parents, wife, and other loved ones, on Monday, January 22, 2024. He was a graduate of Collegiate Academy in 2003 and received his BS in Digital Cinematography and MS in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, in 2019 and 2020. He was also attending the Academy of Arts University, studying 3D Modeling Animation and Visual Effects, in which he would have graduated with his second bachelor’s degree. Guy was a Creative Content Advocate at Cottrill’s Pharmacy. He had previously worked as a Patient Advocate at Affinity Biotech, held positions of ushering and managing at Cinemark, as well as aide work for the Barber National Institute. Guy was a miracle since the age of one, when he suffered a stroke. He overcame countless obstacles throughout his life; including living with Hemophilia, and overcoming cancer. ‘Guytano’ overcame everything he encountered with the most positive and optimistic of attitudes, no matter what. Guy was a gentle man, kind beyond measure, and was an inspiration to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Guy enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved going to the movies, going out to eat with friends, grabbing himself a beloved Starbucks drink, as well as trips to his favorite place in the world, Disney, with his wife, Miranda. Guy displayed his love for Disney through his own artistic creation of arm sleeve tattoos; oftentimes getting stopped to talk about them anywhere he went. Guy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Warner and Jean Law, and maternal grandparents, Guy and Vera Madia (Nana). He is survived by his beloved wife, Miranda Venesky Law; mother, Diane Madia (stepdad Kevin Teed); father, Scott Law (stepmom Robin Law); sisters; Julia and Veronica Law; in-law’s Phillip and Shirley Venesky, Brad Venesky, and Nathan (Erica) Venesky; step-mother Stephanie Law (Timothy Barnhart); step-sister Jenn Lee (Robert Kinnison); step-brother John Lee; amongst many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins, friends, and “blood brothers.” Visitation and Funeral services will be held at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, PA 16506, on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 3:00 pm until the time of a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. The family would like to express our thanks to the NWPA Hemophilia Chapter, Voices for Independence, UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Mercy, and UPMC Hamot, and his caregivers Cloe and Kim for the wonderful help and care they provided over the past thirteen months since suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
