Please share a memory of Lory to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lory G. Usko entered Heaven’s Gates at the age of 66 on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was surrounded in loving care by all four of her children, whom she adored with all her heart. She was born on August 21, 1957 in Erie PA, to Harold and Audrey (Volk) Redinger. Growing up, Lory experienced an exciting childhood living in Pittsburgh, PA and Hollywood, CA but eventually settled down in Erie with the love of her life, Robert Usko for 45 unforgettable years. There they raised four children. Lory and Bob would later move out of Millcreek and into Edinboro, PA. They loved the country lifestyle of being outdoors and gardening. They loved watching the deer (Bambi) in which Lory would call the deer into the saltlick nightly. Lory dedicated her life to providing all her loving care, being a homemaker, and raising their four children. In this time, she was involved in many activities to support her community and family such as decorating the church during holiday seasons, PTA member, Boy Scout Troop Leader, and volunteering for the Erie Special Olympics. She had a passion for crafting which led her to open her own craft shop back in the mid 90’s. She held an affection for developing amazing recipes, just by tasting the food and knowing what ingredient to use. She would later work at Frank’s Farm Market, where she developed some amazing relationships with her coworkers and community members. Lory was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert J. Usko Sr., her mother Audrey (Volk) Redinger, her father Harold Redinger Sr., her brothers; Alvin Redinger and Harold (Buzz) Redinger, and her sister Gloria (Hennies) Redinger. She is survived by her brother Gary Kaiser (Rohnda), her children: Alesha DiFilippo (Dan), Nikki Delsandro (Jake), Bo Usko (Jenna), and Amanda Usko and Justin Kenyon. She is also survived by her extremely heartbroken grandchildren: Erric DiFilippo (Marissa), Aaron and Ella DiFilippo, Camden and Madelyn Delsandro, Ava and Mia Usko, and Eliot Kenyon. Plus, many adoring nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. And deeply missed by her loving pets; Dougie, Millie and Glo. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 4 PM to 7 PM and are invited to participate in a Memorial Service at Our Lady of Peach Church located at 2401 West 38th St on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 10 AM.
