Obituary of David Richard Majewski

David R. Majewski David R. Majewski, age 64, of Erie, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024. He was born in Erie on November 15, 1959, the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth Behan Majewski. Dave graduated from Technical Memorial H.S. in 1978 and attended Edinboro University along with his then fiancé Becky. Dave then married his high school sweetheart, Becky Shade, and went on to have a wonderful and loving family. He was a hard worker and employed by Calsicat/BASF for 29 years, until its closing. He loved to look for beach glass and make beautiful necklaces with it. His interest in music inspired him to create “Magic” cd’s which he enjoyed giving to friends and family. He enjoyed attending car shows with his wife Becky and dogs Arrow and Spot. Dave was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Parish in Erie and was formerly a member of the Knights of Columbus “4th” Degree team. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry and Daniel Majewski; and his beloved dog, Arrow. David is survived by his wife, Becky Shade Majewski; his three children, Erika Fischer (Andrew), David Majewski (Nicole), and Victoria Hawthorne (Christopher); seven grandchildren, Brooke Majewski, Angela, Andrew, and Annabelle Fischer, Nicholas and Alexander Majewski and Calvin Hawthorne; brothers, Gregory Majewski (Carolyn) and Richard Majewski (Debbie); sisters-in-law, Linda Majewski and Linda Shade Sansone (James); and many nieces and nephews. Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. is handling all private services at the convenience of the family.
