William Russell Millspaw

William (Bill) Russell Millspaw, age 94, passed away at his Summit Twp. home, on Friday, March 15, 2024. Bill was born in Edinboro, PA on April 6, 1929, to the late Cecil and Mary (Reynolds) Millspaw.

Bill was a 1947 graduate of Edinboro High School. After serving in the Airforce, Bill attended Washington University in St. Louis where he earned a degree in Mechanical Technology. That degree led him into a lifetime of fixing/repairing just about everything. Most of his career was spent at A.R. Beatty Diesel as a mechanic. His spare time was spent in his beloved yard on Oliver Road where he restored antique tractors for show and sale as well as repairing tractor, lawnmower, and snowblower engines for anyone who asked.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Janet (Bradbury) Millspaw, and his siblings; Alice Locke, Ralph Millspaw, Charles Millspaw, Merton Millspaw, and Dale Millspaw.

Bill is survived by his children, James A. Millspaw of Erie, and Lori A. Gunther (Randy) of Erie; two grandchildren; Megan L. Gunther of Merritt Island, FL and Samuel Vallimont of Erie and his companion/partner in crime, Delores Nick.

Special love and gratitude to Vicki Gorniak, his healthcare aid, who made it possible for Bill to achieve his wish to live out his life in his home.

Family and friends are invited to call on the family at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and for the Funeral Service there on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
