Patricia Ann Yopek
Patricia “Patti” Yopek, age 59, of McKean Twp. won her long battle against MBC on Friday, May 10, 2024 at UPMC-Hamot surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Erie on November 16, 1964, the daughter of the late Stanley A. Yopek and Lottie M. Yopek. She was a dear sister, aunt, Godmother, and friend. Patricia graduated from McDowell High School and Gannon University where she received a B.S. degree in Business Administration. She was a long-time employee of UPMC- Hamot. She held an active lifestyle and loved vacationing especially to the beach. Additionally, she had modeled in her youth and was a lifelong equestrian. She had an eclectic taste and knowledge in music and had a fierce appetite for research. She was a member of St. George’s Church and cared deeply for her community as well as her pets, Lyra & Roman Approval. She is survived by her sisters; Marcia Staudt (John) of Erie and Barbara Breeden of Florida, Best friend; Thekla Bentzel of Pittsburgh, Niece/Godchild; Kimberly of McKean other Nieces; Colleen of Erie and Josephine of WVA, nephew Michael of Erie, step-mother Joyce Yopek, and many cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her sister Christine J. Minor and her brother Edward A. Yopek. Patti was known for her fortitude and wit and will be terribly missed by those who knew her. Her absence not unfelt, and her smile never forgotten.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4 pm until 8 pm and are invited there on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 9:15 am for prayers followed by a Funeral Service at 10 am a St. George R.C. Church, 5145 Peach Street, Erie. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery
