Michael L. Miller Obituary

Michael L. Miller

From his perch at St Mary's, Michael began a new adventure on Sunday, June 2, 2024

after a battle of nearly 2 years. He was born on October 23, 1946 to the late

Leo, Sr., and P. Olive Evans Miller in Belle Valley. His early career was in

fast food management but most of his years were dedicated to the antique

business, finally settling in at Walker House Antiques in 1992.

Michael was comfortable riding an elephant through the jungle or lying in

the grass in the evening gazing up at the Eiffel Tower. He was happiest when

spinning a tale of yesteryear, joking with a customer, entertaining friends

and family, or having a few puffs on the terrace. Those puffs, Michael acknowledged, were his

undoing. He quipped “I did it to myself”.

Besides his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen

Stadler. He also lost 2 brothers in the last year, Leo and Phillip Miller.

He leaves behind his beloved of nearly 43 years, Tom NeCastro, his brother

Ron (Linda) and sisters-in-law Barbara Miller and Karen Miller, friendships of many decades, plus a slew of nieces, nephews, and in-laws that truly loved Michael.

He was touched by the kindness and compassion of the health care community

at St Mary's, Hillman and UPMC Hamot. They did much to ease his journey. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 1 pm until the time of Memorial Service there at 4 pm. Private interment.
