Mary Jane Presutti Wierzchowski
Mary Jane Wierzchowski of Millcreek Twp., was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her husband and sons on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 10, 1938 to the late Placido and Mary DiNino Presutti.
Mary Jane graduated from Strong Vincent H.S. and worked for General Telephone before fulfilling God’s purpose for her life as a loving Mom and Grandma. Mary Jane was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and cooking for her family. She instilled in her family a strong faith in her prayer life and that faith carried her through her illness. She believed if you treated people with kindness, they would be kind to you.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Louis Fabrizi; her father and mother-in-law, Edward C. and Lottie (Godzwa) Wierzchowski; her husband of 66 years, Edward Wierzchowski, Sr.; and sons, Edward and Donald Wierzchowski; brothers, Dominick and Albert Presutti; sisters, Beatrice Slover and Esther Richards; sisters-in-law, Luanna and Gilda Presutti; and brothers-in-law, Peter Richards and Frank Huff.
She is survived by daughters, Janet Sardini (Robert) and Leslie Alexander (Scott); grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica and Joseph Wierzchowski, Anthony (Michelle) and Matthew (Baylee) Sardini, Christina (Charlie) Meyers, Donald (Hannah Svonavec), Nicole and Maria Alexander; brother Plas (Antionette) Presutti; sister-in-las, Mary Ann Huff; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mary’s family would like to thank all the nurses, doctors, and all who cared for her over the past few years.
Private arrangements were held at the convenience of the family by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Erie City Mission.
