Obituary of Edward Gunther

Edward "Ed" J. Gunther Edward "Ed" J. Gunther, age 70, of Millcreek Twp. died at his residence on Thursday, November 11, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cedar Hurst, NY on October 25, 1940, the son of the late, Edward F. and Mary Cummings Gunther. He served in the US Army and Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He was employed at GE until his retirement and then at Jackson Hewitt. He was a member of the Gem City Gun Club, the NRA, and the PA State Police of Crawford and Erie County Company 3. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He is survived by his wife, Shyla Olson Gunther, two sons, Richard "Rick" Gunther of Edinboro and Karl Gunther of Millcreek; five grandchildren: Randee, Riley, Ryan, Colin, and Nicole; one brother, Bruce Gunther of Manchester Center, VT; one sister-in-law, Amy Podguski of East Rochester, NY; two nieces, Shyla K. and Stephanie Podguski; and special dog, Cassie. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and are invited there on Monday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service.
