Barbara M. Rohrer age 88, of Erie, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. She was born in Erie on January 19, 1936 to the late Martin and Mildred Loper Rohrer. Barbara graduated, with honors, from Academy High School in 1953. She was employed by Penelec until her retirement in 1991 as Human Resources Administrator with 37 years of service. Barbara loved the outdoors and enjoyed many weekends at her cabin near Tionesta. She also enjoyed gardening, antiquing, craft shows, especially the ones “in the woods”. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Betty Wolfe, two brothers-in-law; Ray Wolfe Sr. and Robert Abraham, Jr., a half-sister Clara Morschhauser (Tony), and a half- brother, Richard Rohrer.

She is survived by a brother, Martin G. Rohrer (Rena), two sisters; Patricia Abraham and Deborah Seaman (Bob), her half sister-in-law Janet Rohrer, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many great-great nieces and nephews, as well as, her cousins and long- time friends; Carol Krysiak, Bev Byers, and Harriet DiAndrea. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 12 Noon until the time of Funeral Service at 1 pm. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. A special thank you to the nursing staff of the Zurn Pavilion at Sarah Reed.
