Virginia “Jean” Hooks

Virginia “Jean” Hooks, age 94, of Chippewa Township, died Saturday morning, September 28, 2024 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pa, following a brief illness.

Born on October 20, 1929, Jean was the daughter of the late Joseph and Natalie Frazzini. Jean was to married Richard Hooks for over 46 years. She was a dedicated mother and she was happiest spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. No one could walk through her door without Jean looking to feed them. She also made the strongest coffee you ever drank.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Roger Frazzini, and two sons. Surviving her are two daughters, Donna (John Hinman), and Robin (Thomas Sloppy), and a son Kevin. Jean has four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Mary Frazzini and Wilma Hooks.

Friends will be received at the chapel at Sylvan Hills Memorial Park at 369 Route 68 in Rochester, Pa from 11:30 to 12:30 on Friday, October 4, 2024. A small service will follow. Internment will be at Sylvan Hills. All arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie.
