Obituary of Virginia "Ginnie" H. Love Putnam

Virginia “Ginnie” H. Love Putnam Virginia “Ginnie” passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the age of 79, after a lengthy illness. Ginnie was born on August 1, 1945 to her loving parents, Robert C. Love and Marjorie C. Love (Wolcott) and was raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. Ginnie was a graduate of McDowell High School and worked at PNC Bank, Blair, and most recently at American Molding & Technologies, where she worked with her family. Ginnie enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, gardening, and collecting antiques. She also loved to bake and everyone could expect to receive Mrs. Weber’s double chocolate cake for their birthday. She was involved in the PTA throughout her son’s lives and never missed a soccer game. Ginnie was the consummate matriarch of her family. Ginnie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard H. Putnam, and her brother, Robert L. Love (Veronica) of Kent OH, and her beloved dog, Missy. In addition, she leaves behind her three loving sons, Toby Putnam (Nick), Chris Putnam, and Scott Putnam (Kari), and her four grandchildren, Jordan Putnam, Nick Penpek (Nicole), Nolan Putnam, and Alex Putnam, as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert C. Love and Marjorie C. Wolcott Love, and her brother, Dennis C. Love. Friends and family may come together at Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Road, Erie, PA 16506 on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 3 pm until 6 pm with a Prayer service to follow. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Northwestern PA.
