Obituary of Dorothy H. Anderson

Dorothy H. Anderson, 83, of Erie, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024. She was born in St. Mary’s, PA on March 3, 1941, a daughter of the late, Frank and Johanna (Weber) Eichmiller. Dorothy attended Villa Maria College and graduated as a Medical Technologist. She worked at Hamot and the Community Blood Bank for several years. Dorothy was in many choirs throughout her life, and was a member of St. Julia Church and most recently St. Jude the Apostle Church, where she volunteered. Dorothy loved everything about nature, tending to her beautiful garden and watching birds, you could always find her outside. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She made many cherished friendships during her life, especially with her CLUB girls. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Bud Eichmiller, Ann DiNardo, Robert Eichmiller, Theresa Pond, Margaret Eichmiller, and Mary Hallinen. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Dorothy “Dolly” Head (Ken) and Doreen Dembinski (Joe); grandchildren, Z. Head, Erica Head, and Tyler Dembinski. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, October 17th, from 3 pm until 7 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, October 18th, at 10 am at St. Jude the Apostle Church.
