Obituary of Robert M. Cook

Robert M. Cook Robert M. Cook, age 86, of Erie, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at LECOM Elmwood Gardens. Robert was born on March 26,1938, in Erie, the son of the late Jonathan and Mildred (Roehm) Cook. Robert graduated from Cathedral Prep High School in 1956 then joined the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Putnam until his honorable discharge in 1958. On September 15, 1962, he married Janet E. Woeckener. Robert retired from John Hancock Financial Services after 37 years. He was very active within the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in McKean. Surviving is his loving wife of 63 years, Janet, sons: David J. Cook of FL, Patrick J. Cook (Beth) of Cambridge Springs, and their daughters Cynthia and Kimberly, Timothy A. Cook (Tina) of North Carolina) and their daughters Taylor and Lauren, and three great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd, Erie, PA 16506 on Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 6 pm until 8 pm and are invited there on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10 am for the Funeral Service. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, 4523 Love Road, Erie, PA 16506. No flowers, please. Memorials to a charity of one’s choice.
