Dorothy M. Rothwell
Dorothy M. Rothwell of Lake City, PA passed peacefully at home on Sunday, January 5, 2025, one day after her 103rd birthday. She was born in Rural Valley, PA to the late Lewis Yount and Roxie Craft. After graduating from high school, Dorothy worked for both the Rural Valley and West Kittanning lumber companies. For 15 years she also owned and operated the Friendly Tavern in Kittanning with her mother and sister.
Dorothy married Donald R. Rothwell in 1949. They moved to Lake City in 1963 and were known for their impressive flower gardens.
Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandmother who is survived by her son Donald L. Rothwell of Lake City, and grandson Ian Rothwell of Warren, ME. She was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters. Private services conducted by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
