Obituary of Donald Hellmann

Donald Theodore Hellmann Donald Theodore Hellmann, age 75, of McKean Twp. died after a brief illness on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Erie on February 20, 1933, the son of the late Theodore and Mildred Bible Hellman. He was employed at Hellmann Dairy, Sterling Dairy, and Meadowbrook Dairy until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the SunFlower Club, VFW, St. Boniface and the Veteran's of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, darts, and cards. He is survived by his former wife, Mearl (Thomas) Hellmann Shields, four brothers, Thomas (Lucy), David (Elaine), Ralph (Joanne), and Joseph (Eva) Hellmann. Also surviving are eight children: Tina (James Melvin) Hellmann, Robin Brunner, April Kesling, Melissa Brown, of NC, Anne Hellmann, of FL, Steven Hellmann of FL, and Donald C. (fiancée, Stacey Rapoza) Hellmann, eighteen grandchildren, and a host of great and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Arlene Hart Hellmann, a brother, Daniel Hellmann, two grandchildren, Elizabeth Hawkins and Carlton L. Harrell. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. for the funeral service.
