Bette A. Kindle Hoffman Bette A. Kindle Hoffman, age 89, of Millcreek Twp., died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Erie on February 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kindle. She was a lifetime Erie resident. She was employed as the PA Personnel Mgr. for Carlisle Stores, was a member of Brabender's Tuesday Golf League, Lake Pleasant Monday Golf League, Cardiac Fitness Group, Maennerchor Auxiliary, Hamot Aid Society, Luther Memorial Church, and Glenwood Heights Garden Club. She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Robert E. Hoffman, whom she married on March 1, 1945, three children: Diane Banks (Robert), of Erie, Douglas Hoffman and his partner, Ron Stach, of Cleveland, Denise Steinker (Thomas), of Peninsula, Ohio, four grandchildren: Jessica Spaulding, Jena Gonzalez, Emma and Hanna Steinker, five great-grandchildren: Alexander, Xavier, Maxwell, and Grace Spaulding, and David Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Mulligan and her brother, Robert Kindle. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Luther Memorial Church, conducted by Rev.William Coleman.
