Daniel C. Baer Daniel C. Baer, age 91, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Pleasant Ridge Manor - West. He was born on February 23, 1919 in Erie the son of the late, Charles and Sadie Wagner Baer. Daniel served in the US Army during WWII as a Tech. Sergeant assigned to New Guinea and the Philippines. He was employed at National Forge, retiring in 1982 after more than 35 years of service. He loved fishing, woodworking, and raising roses. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathi J. Dearbeck. He is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Mary A. Fox Baer, one daughter, Patricia A. Delaney; son-in-law, Gary Dearbeck, grandchildren: Robert and Eric Dearbeck and Abbey and Daniel Delaney, one niece and two nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and are invited there on Monday at 10:00 a.m. for the funeral service. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "Patchwork of Love" C/O St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3108 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, PA 16506.
