Joan D. Chaffee Johnson
Joan D. Chaffee Johnson, age 73, of McKean Twp. died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born in Erie on March 8, 1935, the daughter of the late, Donald and Marjorie Carson Chaffee.
She was a graduate of East High School and was employed at the General McLean School District. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her husband, William "Bill" P. Johnson, two daughters; Beverly A. Johnson of Erie and Marge P. Miller (Barry) of Wattsburg, one son, Richard M. Wolfgang (Susan), of West Virginia, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia, and two brothers, Robert and Alfred.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. for the funeral service conducted by the Rev. Mark Droll. Interment Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
