Obituary of Fred Johnson

Fred K. Johnson Fred K. Johnson, "Mr. Fred", age 55, of Millcreek Twp., died suddenly of a massive heart attack on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie on August 22, 1956, the son of Kenneth G. and Dorothy J. Imler Johnson of Millcreek. Fred was a 1975 graduate of McDowell High School. He was employed with the Millcreek Twp. School District as a custodian for thirty-six and a half years without missing a day of work. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, cutting lawn, maintaining many fish aquariums, watching sports with his dad; especially the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He played in Millcreek's Pony Baseball League and St. Paul's Basketball League. Fred considered all the school children, his special children. Besides his parents, Fred is survived by two brothers, Keith E. Johnson (Norina) of Houston, TX, Mark A. Johnson (Hanne) of Millcreek Twp., one niece, Jessica Johnson, one nephew, Sean Johnson, both of Houston, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and a special aunt, Emmy Loomis. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Scott Maxwell. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Memory of Fred Johnson to the Millcreek Twp.
