William K. Johnston
William "Will" Koen Johnston, age 41, of Fairview, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 after a brief illness at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on January 16, 1969 in Tacoma Park, MD, the son of Bill and Judith Lavosky Johnston of Fairview.
Will was a world traveler and he lived, worked, and taught in Taiwan, the Philippines, Denver, Boston, Pittsburgh, New York, and Erie. He was a baptized Christian, but explored many other faith paths, believing God spoke to His children in many different ways, places, and times. He was a creative artist and he enjoyed perma-culture gardening, cheese making, and Native American ceremonies. Besides his parents Will is survived by two sisters; Lisa Bradford (Matthew) of Medina, OH, Susan Boyd of Evans, CO, one brother, Aaron Johnston, of Mokpo, South Korea, five nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited there on Friday for the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Charles Cammarata of the Fairview Presbyterian Church. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
