Obituary of Glenn Jordan

Glenn R. Jordan Glenn Ray Jordan, 78, died as the result of an automobile accident that occurred Saturday evening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, who passed away February 19, 2008. Born in Tiona, PA, he served in the US Air Force then moved to Erie in 1957 to pursue his love of carpentry by working as a carpenter Superintendent for several local contractors. Upon his retirement, he loved to work in his flower garden. He recently celebrated his 50-year anniversary in AA. Left to cherish his memory are his 5 children: Frank and Denise Jordan of Lakeridge,VA, Fred Jordan of Tazewell, VA, Gloria and Ernie Carlson of Millcreek, Denise and Judy Jordan of Meridian, Idaho, and Donna and Don Harris of Charlotte, NC, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandsons, several nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law. He was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Cathy Heberlein Jordan, and brothers: Norman, Harry, Richard, Gerald, Robert, Percy, and Tommy. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by the funeral service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmaus Food Pantry, 345 E. 9th St., Erie, PA 16503 or charity of one's choice.
