Edward M. Kazley
Edward M. Kazley, age 84, of Erie, formerly of Millcreek Twp., passed on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born on August 3, 1927, in Brownsville, PA, the son of the late, John and Mary Tkach Kazley.
He moved to the Erie area in 1932. Edward served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Riley Stoker Corp. He and his family worshipped at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church. He enjoyed all sports; but especially playing golf (scored two holes-in-one), playing softball with the Erie Codgers, was a member of the Blind Golfers Association, and he always had a story to share with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Delores E. Tonty Kazley, one daughter, Linda K. Miller (Warren) of Latrobe, PA, one son, Dr. Steven M. Kazley (Jeanne) of Rochester, NY, one sister, Agnes Cousart, of GA, five grandchildren: Jillian, Michael, Patrick, Douglas, and Bryan Kazley. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Mancos, Pauline Machinski and one brother, John Kazley.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Msgr. Daniel Magraw. Private interment.
