Bernice L. Squire Buzzard Kerlin
Bernice L. Squire Buzzard Kerlin, age 97, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Fairview Manor. She was born on June 22, 1915 in East Hickory, PA, the daughter of the late, Carl and Lilly Moore Squire.
She was a very devout Christian and was a member of Kearsarge Church of God. She was employed at Griffin Mfgr., Kearsarge Home for the Aged, and the Millcreek Twp. School District as a maintenance employee. Bernice enjoyed reading and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Brady Buzzard, her second husband, Harold Kerlin, one daughter, Coyla "Buzz" Buzzard, two sisters; Mae Barnett, Florence Larsen, three brothers; Frank, Russell, and Kenneth Squire, two grandsons; Samuel B. DeMichele and David Buzzard, and one son-in-law, Fred Behrendt.
She is survived by two daughters; Elzada Behrendt, of Waterford, Hope DeMichele (Sam), of Millcreek Twp., two sons; Don Buzzard (Barbara), of Millcreek Twp., ten grandchildren: Fred Behrendt (Cindee), Christine Coburn (Greg), Donald Behrendt (Barbara), Cheryl Price (John), Suzette Lariccia (Michael), Lori Carson (Brian), Denise Sypin (Ken), Donald, Lee, and Michael Buzzard, eighteen great-grandchildren, and two great- great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. for the funeral service conducted by the Rev. Dan Owen. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Manor, especially Mary, for their genuine care of Bernice.
