Richard J. Kitchen Richard J. Kitchen, age 84 of Albion, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 12, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born on December 16, 1925 in Ivor, VA, the son of the late, Richard J. and Maude E. Clonte Kitchen. He served in the US Army Infantry during WWII. He received the Purple Heart, two bronze stars, and the Good Conduct Medal while serving in Southern France. He was employed at and retired from Lake Erie Trucking. He enjoyed watching high school sports and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred M. Nesgoda Kitchen, one daughter, Ann Marie Gollmer (John) of Cranesville, six sons: Richard J. III (Brenda) of Winterpark, FL, Patrick L. (Judy) of Seaford, DEL, David L. (Diana) of Erie, Anthony R. of Albion, Donald E. (Kim) of Bellville, TX, and John R. (Bill) of Syracuse, NY, 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, two sisters, Evelyn and Doris, three brothers: John, Jack and Will Kitchen. He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Kitchen and one brother, Robert Kitchen. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 5 until time of prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Private interment.
