Anna R. Klein
Anna R. Klein, age 90, of Erie, passed away peacefully at her residence, on April 18, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Steven and Anna Burchick of Helvetia, PA and the loving wife of her late husband George for more than 50 years. During the early years of her retirement, she and George enjoyed an active social life in Port Richey, FL.
Feisty, spunky, and sharp as a tack to the end, she had a dry wit and wisdom… the kind that can only come from a long life of experience, and one that took many people by surprise, always putting a smile on their faces. She enjoyed staying active playing cards and crossword puzzles with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Bill, and Joe Burchick; and one sister, Martha Sanko. She is survived by her brother, Jim Burchick, her sister, Frances Bogle; three children: James Klein (Michele), David Klein (Katherine), and Loretta Jewell; two grandchildren, Heather Jewell and Wendi Proper (James); and two great-grandchildren, James and Lauren Grace Proper; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 West 38th St. on Saturday, April 27th, at 11 a.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial Masses can be arranged at Our Lady of Peace. Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
