Marilyn Esther Kressel


Marilyn Esther Kressel, age 88 of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, died on Monday, 21 February 2011. She was born in Richmond, Pennsylvania on 24 May 1922, daughter of the late Richard Paul and Marion (Kingsley) Anderson.


Mrs. Kressel was a graduate of Academy High School, Class of 1940, and Erie Business College. She worked for many years in sales for her father at Anderson Machine Tool Company in Erie where she met her future husband, and love of her life, Raymond Kressel. She also worked for many years in furniture sales at many locations including Burdines Furniture Gallery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mrs. Kressel was a member of The First Church of God in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Prior to moving to Florida, she was a member of the First Church of God in Erie, Pennsylvania.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Raymond Kressel, and brothers: Roland B. Anderson, Jack R. Anderson, and LeRoy P. Anderson. Survivors include many nieces and nephews.


Friends may call at her memorial service at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, Erie, on Saturday, 9 April 2011 at 1:00 p.m, interment immediately following in Laurel Hill Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the A.S.P.C.A., 424 E. 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128-6804.
