James A. Langiewicz James "Shorty" Langiewicz, age 67, of Erie, passed away, Monday, September 24, 2012 at Golden Living-Western Reserve. He was born in Erie, on October 29, 1944, the son of the late, Albert and Mary Jane Gilchrist Langiewicz. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was a self employed painter. He is survived by two children; James (JR) Dougan (Michelle) of Syracuse, NY, Kerry Dougan of Erie, two sisters; Judy Galvin (Jim) of Millcreek, Linda Thames of Cape Coral, FL, five grandchildren: Thomas Dougan, Andrea Dougan, Brittany Dougan, Sofia Pulvino, Emily Lopez; three great-grandchildren; Blake and Bradley Dougan and Layla Pulvino, five nieces and nephews: Jamie, Mikie, Shanon, Vanessa, Joseph, (cousins; the Ashley Swift, Sr. family), and his girlfriend, Dona. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Bemis Scheall and his special uncle, Ashley Swift, Sr. Arrangements are privately being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
