Ruth M. Johnson Latt Ruth Johnson Latt, age 88, of Millcreek Twp., died Monday, December 12, 2011 at St. Mary's at Asbury Ridge. Ruth was born in Franklin, PA on February 9, 1923, the daughter of the late, O.V. Johnson and Nina Setley Johnson. She graduated from Millcreek High School in 1941. Ruth spent several years in the production departments of electronics, plastic, and garment industries. Ruth enjoyed both classical music and literature. She was an accomplished amateur naturalist and for many years she presented talks and also conducted field trips regarding flowers and wild edible foods. She was a past secretary of the Audubon Society, a volunteer at Asbury Woods, and a member of TOPS organization. Ruth is survived by her husband of 70 years, Frank W. Latt, of Millcreek Twp., two sisters; Mrs. Robert Edy, of Edinboro, Helen Robinson, of Houston, TX, one brother, Harold Johnson, of Fairview, and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation and services will be private. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of NW PA, 2507 Zimmerly Rd., Erie, PA 16506 or to the Erie City Mission, 1023 French St., Erie, PA 16501.
