Nelliemae Laubscher

Nelliemae "Tweety" Laubscher, age 81, of Millcreek Twp. went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on April 10, 2012 after an extended illness. She was born in Erie on August 17, 1930, the daughter of the late, Howard M. N. and Irene M. Curtis Thomas.

She served her Lord at both Kearsarge and Pine Ave. Church of God. She served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and piano player. She was a devoted Christian woman and was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Laubscher, one son, George Howard, one daughter, Cheryl Ann, and one brother, Wilbert Thomas.

She is survived by one daughter, Pamela and Martin Lewis and their daughter, Makayla Joy, one son, Dennis Edwin Laubscher, one sister, Mary Short (Earl), one brother, Kenneth Thomas (Grace Charlene), grandchildren: Mary-Ann Laubscher and her daughter, Amanda Rose, Deborah-Ann Laubscher, and Robert Edwin Laubscher.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Avenue Church Of God, 3510 Pine Ave., Erie, PA 16504.
