Melissa Young Leslie

Melissa Young (Palmatier) Leslie, age 43, of Millcreek Twp., passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Erie on July 11, 1967, the daughter of Harold A. Palmatier, Jr. and the late JoAnn Palmatier and her adoptive mother, Vera "Rosie" Stratton.

Melissa was a 1986 graduate of East High School and had previously worked at Hamot Medical Center. She enjoyed working on her computers, camping, nature, music, her pet animals, and vacationing at the beach in Florida. Most of all her greatest joy was spending time with family.

Besides her father, Melissa is survived by her husband, James Leslie, three children: Alyssa Gentile, Douglas Cody Flower, and Brenna Flower; one stepson: James Leslie; her stepmother: Mary Fran Palmatier; two brothers, John Young and Ryan Huber; one sister, Tracey Whaley (Greg), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. conducted by Msgr. Robert Brugger. Interment Lakeside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be designated to the family through the funeral home.
