Gordon M. Lindahl
Gordon M. "Gordy" Lindahl, age 77, of Millcreek Twp., died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at St. Mary's East. He was born on September 22, 1933 in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late, Myron C. and Merndeen Lindahl.
He and his wife lived in Millcreek most of the year, but wintered in Bowling Green, FL. He was owner of Lindahl's Upholstery. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Erie Commodores Barbershop Society. He loved to go camping with his family and dogs. He also enjoyed golf, music, horseshoes, and directing both the church choir and the Erie Commodores.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis B. Lindahl, one daughter, Kristine Balinski (Vince), two sons, Robert G. Lindahl (Susan) and David N. Lindahl (Susie), one sister, Diane McGranor (Glenn), four grandchildren: Erik Lindahl, Ryan and Daniel Cooper, and Emma Lindahl, and many niece and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Sunday, February 20 at 1:30 p.m. for the funeral service conducted by the Rev. David McIlvried and the Rev. Scott Maxwell. Private interment.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3108 Sterrettania Rd. or to the Alzheimer's Association - Greater PA Chapter, 1128 State St. Erie, PA 16501.
