Obituary of Robert Love

Robert "Bob" C. Love Robert C. Love, age 87, of Millcreek Twp., died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Pleasant Ridge Manor-West. He was born in Erie on September 24, 1921, the son of the late George J. and Helen Bush Love. He was employed at and retired from American Sterilizer as an assembler. He was a member of the Millcreek Sportmans Club, Maennerchor Club, a founding member of West Ridge Fire Department, and was an elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed gardening, was known for his delicious fudge, and his kindness, thoughtfulness, and his love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Elizabeth "Betty" Hines Love, one daughter, Virginia "Ginnie" Putnam and her husband, Richard "Dick", of Millcreek, one son, Robert L. Love and his wife, Veronica, of Kent, OH, six grandchildren: Toby (Paul), Christopher (Renae), and Scott (Kari) Putnam, Dennis (Jessica), Nicole and Michael Love, great grandchildren, two step-sons, Daniel (Tricia) Toland of Columbus, OH, and Robert Toland of Jackson, MI. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Wolcott Love, one son, Dennis C. Love, and one brother, David Love. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Saturday for the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
