Obituary of Mildred McKean

Mildred Evelyn McKean Evelyn McKean, age 84, of Erie formerly of Fairview, died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on September 26, 1925, in WV, the daughter of the late John Russell and Lola Buckland Corron. She was a member of the First Alliance Church and was involved in many of their organizations. She loved the organ, her family, church, gardening and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. McKean, one daughter, Cheryl Lynn McKean, one grandson, Scott Christopher McKean, and one sister, Jesse Freeman. She is survived by two daughters; Cathy Seip (Gene) of Millcreek, Doreen Wishnok (Paul) of Millcreek, three sons; Gary William McKean, John Douglas McKean, and Ronald A. McKean, all of Millcreek. Also surviving is one sister, Helen Morris, of Columbus, OH, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday at the First Alliance Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 10:30 a.m. Interment Erie Cemetery.
