James "Jim" Edmund McMichael James E. McMichael, age 85, of Harborcreek Twp., passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Mary's East after a brief illness. He was born in Erie on January 4, 1926, the son of the late, James H. and Edna K. Stromenger McMichael. He served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was employed at and retired from the American Meter Co. He was a member of the East Erie Turners, American Legion Post 11, the Lawrence Park Golf Club, and St. Andrews R.C. Church. He enjoyed bowling, bocce, singing, and music. He is survived by his lovely wife of 56 years, Mary Jane Blood McMichael, one daughter, Darlene Ann McMichael-Theisen of Millcreek, two grandchildren, Timothy M. Theisen, DMD, of Erie, Erin E. Theisen and her fiancé, Jim Wise, Jr., of Erie. He was preceded in death by three sisters. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and are invited there on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. for prayers followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrews R.C. Church, 1116 West 7th St. at 10:00 a.m. Private interment. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews R.C. Church. Enhance your memorial with a slideshow and video
