Evelyn D. Coppersmith Michel

Evelyn D. Michel, age 91, of Erie, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at St. Mary's at Asbury Ridge. She was born in Erie on July 20, 1918, the daughter of the late Edwin and Florence Coppersmith.

A homemaker and a loving, devoted wife and mother, her family provided her greatest joy. She participated in many activities including golf, dancing, cards, and traveling. She and her husband of 68 years, Bill, spent their winters together in Lakeland, FL. Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Michel.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Samuels of Erie, Patricia Terrizzi and her husband, Tony, of FL, and one son, Bill Michel, Jr. and his wife Terri of Colorado and four grandchildren: Leslie Samuels, Jim Samuels, Dawn Sullivan, Renee Michel, and two great- grandchildren, Andy Samuels, and Frankie Tapia.

Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family through the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
