Winifred Gross Myers
Winifred Gross Myers, age 92, of Erie died Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Manchester Presbyterian Lodge after a brief illness. She was born in Erie on June 9, 1941, the daughter of the late Otto and Anna Schneider Gross. She lived in Erie her entire life.
Winifred was a lifelong member of the Sarah Hearn Memorial Presbyterian Church where she served as a church elder, deacon, and Sunday school teacher and where she was a lifelong choir member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pierre P. Myers; her sisters, Gladys Bloeser, Ethel Drown, and Eunice Gross; and a grandson, Scott J. O'Harrow. She is survived by her children: Sheryl Zanella and her husband, John, of Memphis, TN, Mary Lee O'Harrow of Altoona, PA, and Susan Ohrn and her husband, James, of Erie; her grandchildren: John M. Zanella of Memphis, TN, James A. Zanella of Ft. Leavenworth, KN, Kelli A. O'Harrow of Elmira, NY, Jonathan C. O'Harrow of Altoona, PA, Adam P. O'Harrow of Grantsville, WV, Jeffrey R. Ohrn of Coraopolis, PA and Tracy Ohrn Jackson of Grove City, PA; and her great grandchildren: Virginia, Maryn, Clark, and Grayson Zanella, Caiden Ohrn, and Susannah, Aaron, and Amelia Jackson.
Friends will be received at the Sarah Hearn Memorial Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 28, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Reverend James W. McCormack. Arrangements handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, Erie, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Homes - Caring for Life, 1225 School Road, Erie, PA 16505.
