Jeremiah "Jerry" N. Neville

Jeremiah "Jerry" N. Neville, age 65, of Millcreek Twp. died Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 25, 1942, the son of the late Jeremiah J. and Thecla Pauline Neville.

He graduated from Bishop Duffy High School in Niagara Falls. He attended The University of Houston on a football scholarship. He was employed at Union Carbide in Buffalo as a purchasing agent and Castle Metals in sales which eventually led to starting up his own business, Vartech Metal Specialists, Inc. He was a member of St. Jude Church, the Erie Maennerchor and Zukor Clubs, Probus, and a proud member of the Erie Marching and Chowder Society. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He is survived by wife, Janet Covatto Neville, two sons, Rob Neville (Lesley) of Fairview and beloved grand-daughter, Bailee, Chris Neville (Lynn) of Erie, step grandchildren, Kara and Kyle, four sisters: Sandy Accetta (Pat) of Niagara Falls, Maureen Stuart (Sonny) of New York City, NY, Lynn Broker of Niagara Falls, and Laurie Muto (Guy) of Lewiston, NY, four brothers: Paul Neville of Lewiston, NY, Larry Neville (Kathy) of Niagara Falls, Kevin Neville (Nina) of CA, and John Neville (Joy) of Niagara Falls, his mother-in-law, Angeline Covatto, many nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Polly.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
