Mary Louise Fish Northup


Mary L. Northup, age 83, of Curry-Schell Apartments (Schaper Ave.), died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at Golden Living-Walnut Creek after a brief illness. She was born on August 19, 1928 in Springboro, PA, the daughter of the late, M. Grover and Lelah Hites Fish. She was a long time member of Christ United Methodist Church and enjoyed church activities, and spending time with a special group of friends called the "Crazy Eights".


Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Northup, one granddaughter, Aislin Northup, one great grandson, Colten Siciliano, four sisters; Helen Nowak, Ruth Vrenna, Maxine Dobson, Betty Aho, and one brother, Arthur Fish.


She is survived by her children: James E. Northup (Barby) of Edinboro, Joseph R Northup (Donna) of Erie, Gayle A. Rohde (David) of Loganville, GA, one brother, Robert Fish of Conneautville, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.


Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service there at 11:00 a.m. conducted by her nephew, the Rev. Robert Aho. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 1245 Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335 or to Christ United Methodist Church, 2615 West 32nd St., Erie, PA 16506.
