A. Marie Nicol Olson A. Marie Nicol Olson, age 85, of Erie, died peacefully at Erie Presbyterian Lodge on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Marie was a 1944 graduate of Academy High School. She previously served on the Erie Civic Music Association Board and a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. For nine years, Marie was a legal secretary and she was also employed at Erie Foundry Co. and GECAC as an administrative assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton C. Olson in 1981 and a brother, Kenneth Nicol. Survivors include three sons: Carl M. Olson and his wife, Edith, of Pleasantville, PA, Norman K. Olson and Paul D. Olson, both of Erie; two sisters, B. Helen Miller and Florence McLaughlin and her husband, Donald, all of Erie.; three beautiful granddaughters: Bethany, Kayla, and Sarah Olson and their mother, Jenette Janson, several nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces. Marie's wish was to donate her body to medical scientific research as did her late husband. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2931 Myrtle Street, Erie, PA 16508 (corner of Peach and Myrtle Sts.). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to Glenwood United Methodist Church. Arrangements by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
