Phyllis Mae (Daugherty) Palmer Phyllis Mae Daugherty Palmer, age 73, of Erie, PA, peacefully went to be with the Lord in her sleep on March 2, 2012. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Charles Daugherty, her best friend and uncle, Bill Daugherty, and her uncle "Toots". Phyllis was a strong Irish woman whose faith in God was unwavering, whose love and support of her family was boundless, and whose kindness and compassion for those in need was undeniable. She truly loved all of "God's creatures" and touched the heart of those she knew to leave a lasting impression forever in their lives. Faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother, and fierce friend, she will always be there for us and will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she so profoundly touched. God bless her and speed her home. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, David George Palmer, her eight children: David Palmer, Jr. (Angela), of Fredericksburg, VA, Lisa Weislogel (Brad) of Erie, Carolyn Palmer (Rick Leszek) of Erie, Jeffrey Palmer of Erie, Gregory Palmer (Cheryl) of Apex, NC, Clifford Palmer (Mary) of Erie, Samantha Brown (Ken) of Lake City, PA, Philip Palmer (Michelle) of Fairview, PA, 25 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. II Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
