Rita Youngbaver Pianta Rita Youngbauer Pianta, age 84, of Millcreek Twp. died Friday, October 3, 2008, at her residence. She was born in Erie on May 21, 1924, the daughter of the late, Joseph and Mabel Strubel Youngbauer. She had resided in the Erie area her entire life. Mrs. Pianta was a 1942 graduate of Academy High School. She was employed at Bliley Electric Co. during WWII. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, a member of L.I.F.T.S., Good Timers, and the Happy Hour Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Pianta to whom she was married 48 years. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Beierschmitt of Erie, three sons; Joseph (Jay) Pianta (Carol) of Erie, John (Jack) E. Pianta (Carol) of Erie, and Jim Pianta of Columbus, OH., one sister, Marie Figurski, of Erie, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. One sister, Dorothy Winkelman preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church on Monday at 10:00 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to EWTN, 5817 Old Leeds Rd., Irondale, AL 35210-9948
