Carole A. Rugare Potter Carole A. Rugare Potter, age 65, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center. She was born on September 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Philip R. and Mary G. Mercure Rugare. She will always be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, whose greatest joy was taking care of her family and making them smile and feel loved. She was retired from Value City (formerly Mason's), where she worked for 15 years. She enjoyed her time camping, cooking, baking, going to bingo, watching old movies, and spending time with her family, friends, and family dog, Belle, who she often referred to as her little girl. She was lovingly known as "Gaga" by her grandchildren and was known by everyone for her outgoing personality; she touched each and every one of our lives in a way, so much so you couldn't help but love her. In addition to her parents, two brothers preceded her in death: Philip R. Rugare, Jr. and Anthony R. Rugare, an aunt, Lena L. Mercure Hadlock, and an uncle, Samuel Mercure. She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of almost 42 years, Geoffrey E. Potter, Sr., three beloved children, Mary Susan Swisher and her husband, William, of GA, Carole Leigh Smith and her husband, Robert, of Millcreek, and Geoffrey E. Potter, Jr. of Corry, as well as six wonderful grandchildren: Mark, Sara, Katie, Paige, Emily, and Abby. A private service will be held for immediate family and close friends at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Memorials may be made in her honor to the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore Ave., Erie, PA 16505.
