Richard "Rick" G. Randolph
Richard "Rick" G. Randolph, 54, of Millcreek, died of a broken heart on Friday, May 15, 2009. He was born June 10, 1954 in Erie, son of Bette Beckinger Randolph and the late Walter I. Randolph.
Rick was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he was very active. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, and playing in his pond and raising 'gigantic' fish. Rick enjoyed watching his flowers grow and spending time with his family.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Lorraine "Peewee" Randolph, in 2008, and his mother-in-law, Evelyn Crawford. He will be sadly missed by his three children, Roberta Wellington and her husband, Timothy, of Millcreek, Christopher Shilling and his wife, Jennifer, of North East, and James Randolph and his wife, Jennifer, of Fairview, two sisters, Lori Randolph and her friend, Nena Bores, of Fairview, Cynthia Charcalla and her husband, Dick, of Ocala, FL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Damian Gilland, Mikael Shilling, Blake Gilland, Aerika Shilling, Aleksis Shilling, Braeden Shilling, Dylan Green, several nieces and nephews, special friends Diana and Denny Kramer, Bob and Linda Lentz, Tom and Brenda Warchol, Ed and Rose Fischer, and his two dogs, Sammy and Baxter, and his two cats, Nalla and El Nino.
Friends may call the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, Erie, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held privately by the family.
