William Paul Reichard, II (Bill)
William Reichard, 84, of Millcreek Twp. passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born October 31, 1928, in OakRidge, PA, the son of the late William P. Reichard, I (Mick) and Freda Reichard, and husband of the late Mattie Reichard who passed in 2004.
He served with the United States Army in the Military Police in the late 40's and early 50's during World War II and the Korea War. He then attended Erie Business College and earned a degree in business accounting. He worked for H&R Block for years and also Erie Strayer for several years, then with the Local 12 Sheet Metals Union where he retired in 1993. He loved country music, going to clubs and listening to the music, and traveling and visiting the various casinos throughout the country. Bill loved to eat and visited his favorite restaurants in Erie frequently. His favorite food was BBQ and a long road trip to North Carolina for BBQ. He loved doing puzzles, coloring and drawing with his great-granddaughter, Jade.
He also loved watching his grandchildren, Steven and Justin, play baseball. Survivors include his daughter, Cindi A. Pulling (Robert), two grandchildren; Jay Pulling, Holly Pulling (fiancé, Fred Lamberton), four great-grandchildren: Jade, Alyx, Paige, and Lilly, all of Millcreek, son, William Reichard, III, two grandchildren; Katie Reichard, Heather Mitchell (Josh), one great-grandchild, Ella, all of Millcreek, and, son, Robert Reichard, two grandchildren; Justin Reichard, all of Edinboro, and Steven Reichard stationed in Salt Lake City, Utah and serving in the United States Air Force (Halie), two great-grandchildren; Houston and Jaxon, all of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family of Bradenton, Florida: Chris and Dana Smith and Orma Wintemute, two other great-grandchildren; Cameron and Carson, and three very close friends: Nancy, George, and Desie, of McKean.
Family and friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service there at 8:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Dan Owen. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Erie County
