Ronald "Ron" L. Reichert
Ronald "Ron" L. Reichert, age 70, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at UPMC-Hamot after an extended illness. He was born on July 1, 1942 in Erie, the son of the late Theodore and Marie Wagner Reichert.
Ron was a tool and die maker since age twenty and was employed at a number of tool and die companies until his retirement. He and his brothers bowled in the Brothers' Bowling League for many years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the VFW Post 470. He volunteered at the Soldier's and Sailor's Home and the VA Hospital. He enjoyed dirt track racing and his grand kids.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Jean Jaksa, Cathy Pilliteri, Audry Reichert, and two brothers; Charles "Chuck" and Richard "Rich" Reichert. He is survived by one daughter, Susan Y. Potter (Charles) of Millcreek Twp., two sons; Stephen Reichert of Fairview, Scott Reichert (Jessica) of Millcreek Twp., four grandchildren: Christopher Potter, Brian Reichert, Amanda and Ashley Reichert, three brothers: Ted (Carol), Don, Bob (Debbie) Reichert, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Friday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3108 Sterrettania Road, Erie, PA 16506.
